ON THE PROBLEM OF EMPATHY: A PHOTOGRAPHIC INVESTIGATION reflects on the gestures of taking photographs with an eye to Edith Stein’s photographic investigation. Since 2020, the artist Lucrezia Zanardi has been conducting research in the Edith Stein archive, where she has entered into dialogue with Stein’s archival holdings. The exhibition intends to explore the relationship between photography, archive work and empathy and make this tangible for the audience by means of artistic as well as interactive approaches.
