Marc Feustel is an independent writer, editor and curator based in Paris. A specialist in Japanese photography, he has curated several exhibitions in the field, including Tokyo Stories (Kulturhuset, Stockholm), Eikoh Hosoe: Theatre of Memory (Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney), and Okinawa: une exception japonaise (Le Plac’Art Photo, Paris). He is also active as a writer and editor for contemporary art and photography publications including for ca.ra.ma.ru by Takano Ryudai (Libraryman, 2022) and for Architecture of Density by Michael Wolf (Buchkunst, 2022), as well as for art publications around the world. A regular speaker and jury member at photography festival and events, he has been one of the hosts of the Artist Talks at the Paris Photo art fair.
His interest in photography is broad, but he is not involved in editorial or commercial photography. Above all, he is interested in photographic series that have something to say about the world.
